This year Frontier Girls turned 9 years old. We have gone through a lot of changes since our first troop opened in 2007. In the last few years our membership has grown quite a bit and we have opened more than 275 troops across the country. We also have members in Canada, Wales, and even South Korea! I want to thank all of you for helping to make Frontier Girls the great program that it has become. Without the input and help of our members, Frontier Girls just wouldn't be the same.
Next year will be our 10th birthday and I would like to do something special. If you have any ideas, please email them to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you registered for the 2016 SWAPS event, we will be assigning your SWAP partner by Feb. 7. This is a great opportunity to get to know girls from other states and other troops.
If for any reason you cannot participate, please notify us immediately. Every year we have disappointed girls who send out SWAPS and never receive any in return. Please make sure to follow all instructions that are sent to you in a timely manner and to package your SWAPS in a PADDED envelope or box. Regular envelopes tear and the SWAPS get lost or damaged.
If you are not participating this year and want to learn more about our March 4th Holiday and annual SWAPS, visit our website at:
The winner of our January Logo contest is Cassi Jensen from Troop 911!
We hope you enjoy your $10 Frontier Girls gift card!
We will be doing another logo contest for the month of February. It will be starting
Friday, February 5th. Check our Facebook page or homepage for more details!
Many ski resorts are offering military discounts for the winter season.
Here are a few we found if you and your family love to ski!
Lapel Pin locks - submitted by Charlotte Duke
I discovered that if one cuts one of the old-style
cylindrical rubber badge-locks in half (so that you end up with two small
cylinders) you can then put one on the back of higher awards and then put
the pin-back on!
submitted by Katie Lundquist, leader Troop #159, CO
Haley Hutter is a Dolphin with Troop 159 in Colorado who has been with us a little over two years. Haley is a quiet girl with a sweet spirit who is always willing to pitch in and help out. She was very shy when she first started, but over the past year has really pushed herself to try new things, especially in the area of leadership. When given the choice of leadership positions this year, Haley wanted to be Patrol Leader and is doing an excellent job. She is an outstanding example to all the girls in her listening, cheerfulness and follow-through.
We have just launched our new Frontier Girls store that we hope will make ordering a little easier. While we can still only accept payments through Paypal, you will now be able to enter a specific shipping address and it will hopefully cure the problem of Paypal constantly emptying carts of large orders as well. If you have any problems with the new site, please email us at email@example.com
