Issue #51 - December 2015

new membership pinA Note from the Founder - New Membership Pins

Jan. 2017 will be our 10th anniversary and we had planned to make the official switch from our old logo with the eagle to our new logo with the star/hearts/hands at that time.  Unfortunately I somehow lost an entire case of membership pins with the old logo.  Rather than buy more when we are this close to switching, we purchased the new membership pins instead.  The old logo will always be a valid part of our program, but the eagle is not a uniquely recognizable symbol to carry our organization into the future.  The new logo with the star to represent our patriotism, hearts to represent our dedication to community service, and hands to represent the life skills we hope to teach the girls is a better and more recognizable symbol of who we are.  If you are a current member and would like a new membership pin instead of the eagle one you are currently wearing, you may order one through the store for no cost by putting your name instead so that we can track who we have sent them to.
